St Pat's Report

. . . on the March 15th parade through downtown St. Paul:
Highlights of the marathon 1 1/2 hour event included bagpipers, Senator Klobuchar, 97 different Irish clans, a small smattering of kilts, Joe's and George's dueling hot dog carts, all the free rock hard candy you can catch, and of course plenty o' lucky leprechaun green bead necklaces. Following the parade, there was a big Irish celebration in the historic Landmark Center, where visitors could listen to an all day lineup of Irish folk music, watch Irish stepdance performance, browse vendors selling clothes, jewelry and all things green, or visit 'the tea room' on the upper levels to escape the noise of the thunderous crowd. |
