In the earliest of days, David worked in the network center of American College Testing, now known as ACT. In his second year as a network engineer a fellow by the name of Adam Larson joined the staff. This was a landmark day in the pre-history of Lake David for it was Adam's trademark publication, "The Poop Log," which offered inspiration for the Lake David Fanclub Newsletter.
Adam decided that since he moved from North Dakota to Iowa, he needed a way to keep in touch with all of his colleagues; after leaving ACT to move to the Twin Cities the updates continued on gravy.net. After David moved from Philadelphia in 2000, it was clear that responsibly keeping in touch with distant friends and colleagues could be a full-time job. To stay in touch, he began a periodic e-mail newsletter.
While the LDFN originally began with a dozen or so friends, today the list of subscribers reaches over 150 recipients! We now announce a second generation of the LDFN: David's Blog.
